This is a composite material consisting of a 0.6 cm thick blend of resin and mineral filler bonded on water-resistant chipboard, giving an overall thickness of 3.9 cm. The back is made of laminate.
Advantages:
• Inert material (often used in medical environments and local authority buildings).
• Distinctive hygienic properties (bacteria cannot settle on it).
• Very easy to clean.
• Soft to the touch, pleasant contact.
• Guaranteed durability: the worktop can be repaired if slightly damaged (glue cartridges and polishing wheels are available).
• Attractive look with its variously shaped edges.
• Can be used to create a joint-free installation.
Constraints:
• Shock and heat resistant, but it is not advisable to cut or chop directly on the worktop or to place hot dishes straight from the oven on its surface.
• We recommend the use of a table mat, panstands, trivets or hob bars.
